All are made in the UK at the purpose-built Oxfordshire factory where strong European design elements are carefully adapted to meet the tastes of the home market.
Draks undertakes both large and small commercial projects and is a leading supplier which serves most of the UK’s premium housebuilders. The company provides design-led solutions, rapid response times and technical expertise, while products are suited to a wide range of budgets and design briefs.
James Fletcher, Managing Director at Draks UK, delves into the latest products and trends in the industry:-
In terms of finish, there is definitely a move towards a soft matt, neutral finish. With room dividers, it is simplicity of design and the practicality of combining light and privacy that people are looking for. With wardrobe doors, particularly sliding doors, there is a real demand for new and innovative door designs – moving away from the traditional mirror and glass finishes. Room dividers are increasingly popular as the disadvantages of the open plan living become obvious as children grow up. Noise, smells and a lack of private space are all contributory factors.
For housebuilders and homeowners alike, the range of room dividers is sure to liven up any room! Draks uses a range of solid timber room dividers as well as aluminium frame dividers with laminated, semi-obscure glass. We are also introducing a range of solid panel room dividers to block out all light.
The market is working in two opposing directions. Some housebuilders and homeowners have used the recession to strip back specification on product as far as possible in order to reduce build costs. Others have actually improved their specification in order to differentiate their product.
